Forever Green
is a specialty landscape company that has evolved tremendously over
the past 20 years. After serving the Truckee Meadows for over 15 years
as a maintenance company, we jumped into the future of landscaping
by becoming involved with Sprinturf. Sprinturf is a synthetic turf
that has been around for over 15 years primarily used for sports fields.
Over the last 5 years, the focus has shifted somewhat to residential
and commercial use. Sprinturf is an amazing product that has the look
and feel of natural grass, but requires almost no up keep. It stays
a consistent green all year long. |

Imagine how much time, not to mention money, could by saved by not
having to water, mow, or fertilize your lawn. Let's not even get into
the hours that are spent trying to green up that one "spot"
that is brown courtesy of the neighbor’s dog. A part of the
guarantee included covers staining, or the lack of. We have done installations
specifically for dog runs. Sprinturf has an unprecedented 8 year guarantee
against wear and fade with a life expectancy of 15-25 years.

Sprinturf does have look alikes out
there. What is the difference? The look and the feel for starters.
One of the most distinguishing features, though, is in the drainage.
Lab tests prove that Sprinturf will drain an average of 75 gallons
of water an hour/per square foot. Natural grass drains at 90 gallons
an hour/per square foot. The competition doesn't even come close!

So after all of this, you ask yourself, "Do people really use
this for lawns?" Our answer to this is a resounding YES! UNR
has had it at their football stadium going on 4 years now. We have
also installed Sprinturf at a couple of daycares in town. |
Sprinturf is also an environmentally friendly product. We use a sand/rubber
combination as our "infill" other wise known as Nike Grind.
The rubber is ground up tires that help our turf feel soft and stable.
This helps to eliminate the tires taking up space in our landfills.
The other environmental side of Sprinturf is its contribution to air
quality. With out having to "maintain it", you eliminate
the use of mowers, trimmers, edgers, and blowers which all add to
air as well as noise pollution.
